Commercial Office Block - Clonmel Co Tipperary

This 4 storey over basement office development is currently in the planning process. The site is surrounded by walls that are listed as protected structures. The building to the right of the site is a protected structure. The client brief was to design a modern office block that would work successfully within the site constraints.

The front of the building was set back from the street line, keeping the protected stone wall and arch and creating a focus for the office. Stone cladding is proposed on the centre section to compliment the front wall and the top floor is set back to correspond with the adjoining roof lines

The back of the building is stepped in to maximise light into the offices and to minimise impact on the neighbouring properties. The entire perimeter of the office block is set back from the protected wall structure which will also alleviate disturbance to the wall.
